Futaba, Shiroko vs. Hikari, Hoshi
8000 vs 8000
Incredibly strong opening with Hecatrice, Valhalla, Splendid Venus, Gellenduo, and Sanctuary in the Sky on the first turn from "Hikari, Hoshi".
"Futaba, Shiroko" destroys Sanctuary in the Sky at an immediate, however, negating the main combo concerning Gellenduo and the field itself.
She then activates Burden of the Mighty, but... Ends her turn? WIth only one set card as protection?
"Hikari, Hoshi" sets one monster. ... "Futaba, Shiroko" seems to be looking at her PDA. What for? She's stated to continue, however.
"Hikari, Hoshi" attacks "Futaba, Shiroko" with Gellenduo to open up her Battle Phase. Interestingly, there was no counter to it; "Futaba, Shiroko" seems to be completely undefended, resulting in a following attack from Splendid Venus, which signals the end of "Hikari, Hoshi"'s turn.
Futaba, Shiroko: 4700 LP
"Futaba, Shiroko" opens up the turn with Grinder Golem, following with Torrential Tribute. All monsters are destroyed, at which then "Futaba, Shiroko" ends her turn. A very risky strategy to destroy something such as Splendid Venus...
"Hikari, Hoshi" starts her turn by summoning Athena. She then special summons Soul of Purity and Light. A very strong deck, but it isn't enough to defeat "Futaba, Shiroko" as of yet, despite the combined 3300 ATK score.
Futaba, Shiroko: 1400 LP
"Futaba, Shiroko" opens up her turn with Monster Reborn, in which she then special summons Splendid Venus to her own side of the field. She then summons Iron Chain Repairman in defense. She then attacks Athena.
Hikari, Hoshi: 7400 LP
"Hikari, Hoshi"'s turn was uneventful. She only set a card. What is it?
"Futaba, Shiroko" sets a monster, before proceeding to attack with Splendid Venus. "Hikari, Hoshi" then proceeds to activate Magic Cylinder.
Futaba, Shiroko: 0 LP
"Hikari, Hoshi" is declared the winner of the duel.
Ending notes:
"Hikari, Hoshi" seems to be a strong duelist, however, the number of cards used worries me at the start.
There seems to however, be some confusion over "Futaba, Shiroko"'s actions after the duel itself. Admittedly, her tone and actions do not match previous notes that I have taken.
I shall be keeping note of "Hikari, Hoshi" however, for potential concerning the Pro Leagues. It remains to be seen whether "Futaba, Shiroko" will be applicable concerning it, however, given her performance.
As well, it seems to be a bit on the worrisome side, that "Futaba, Shiroko" has gone through a sudden "change" in her actions. Perhaps it should be looked into as well, if she happens to show promise?
That is all, however, that needs to be seen.
((Note: This is not a post. Just a public transcript for the Pro Leagues. However, if people want to talk to Umu, they can still make a comment. It will just be taken as a private message instead.))

[PM to Umu, I guess]

Date: 2009-02-05 03:19 am (UTC)From:...anyway, I need to grab you for... something relaxing. I could use something cozy... and I think you'd like it, protests notwithstanding.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:21 am (UTC)From:Admittedly, I'm... More surprised at how conflicting she was acting, considering my notes. |\; Did she happen to switch into one of her other personalities, during the duel itself?
... Something relaxing? I don't mind. I just had work to do before, that I didn't want you to distract me or kidnap me from, before I was done. |\;;
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:23 am (UTC)From:...something like that. It's a side effect of whatever brought her back to life. ...at least, that's the current working theory.
Any ideas, then?
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:25 am (UTC)From:... I was wondering about that, too. |\;;; I... Thought it would be best to not question it. And hope that the Pro Leagues don't ask why I'm writing the transcript for a duel done by a deceased student.
You should know by now that asking me that will get us nowhere. |\
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:30 am (UTC)From:I'm just glad she's alive, myself. Trying to work through the new problems as I'm able. If they ask, though, you could probably tell them that it was a case of mistaken identity. Considering they're back in the records, I don't think they'd argue.
Worth a try, regardless. Hmm... I'd like a cozy night in, but I'm not sure what we'd do... Movie, TV, fireplace, or massage like we used to do come to mind, but those don't sound very exciting.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:37 am (UTC)From:It's why I figured it would be best to not ask. |\;;; Most likely, though, if she doesn't improve in quality, while she is a Blue, she probably won't be noted enough to garner as much attention.
... Dinner and a movie might be nice. It doesn't need to be "exciting". |\
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:48 am (UTC)From:I don't think she intended to become a professional duelist. But I imagine she'll be working on improving the deck, or maybe a new deck.
...hmm... alright. ... Wonder if Benihime will cook for once, or if I should just order in.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 03:54 am (UTC)From:However, despite intention, I'm to take note of all Obelisk Blue students, at the least, for any talent that might be of use to the Pro Leagues. |\;
... Benihime?
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:01 am (UTC)From:Just letting you know.
Yeah... she... isn't a very bright girl, but she was basically going to be a stripper to provide for herself, so... she's suppose to be our cook instead. She's... kinda flaky, but made improvements to a point.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:11 am (UTC)From:... Is it safe then, to eat her food, if she's... Flaky? |\;;;;;;
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:14 am (UTC)From:...well, I assume she fed herself, and she's still alive... though current plan is for her to sample the cooking before we eat it.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:17 am (UTC)From:... What about the possibility that she's built up an immunity to her own food? |\;;;;;
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:37 am (UTC)From:Then I'll eat second. I should be able to recover from poisoning more quickly than anything else.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:38 am (UTC)From:... That worries me a bit more, you realize. |\;;;;; It makes me just want to stick with what Iikagen tends to make, when he's... "Experimenting".
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:40 am (UTC)From:Give her a chance... if she was truly horrible, she wouldn't have survived long enough to give herself an immunity.
Re: [PM to Umu, I guess]
Date: 2009-02-05 04:45 am (UTC)From:I'll give her a chance, if I need to, but... It doesn't mean that I won't worry, until I know that it's edible by the average human being. |\;;;

Date: 2009-02-05 04:50 am (UTC)From:If it can't be ingested by a average human being, then I'd rather not risk it, even if my resistance would be higher concerning food poisoning.

...mm... maybe we should do something tonight. Benihime is going to cook for once... and Juliette's going with her to get the food, so I think she'll keep things safe to eat.
